A Family’s Tour of Minnesota State Parks Goes Electric
As many across Minnesota look for new ways to explore the outdoors, Bjorn Watland of Saint Paul and his family found a way to do so with the help of their electric vehicle (EV). An active member of the MN EV Owners community, Watland shared on social media how he and his family organized weekend road trips to Minnesota state parks using their EV, a growing network of EV chargers, and a little creativity.

Federal Tax Credit Supports Installation of Electric Vehicle Chargers
A formerly expired tax incentive known as the Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit (AFITC) was quietly renewed by Congress in late 2019 and will allow business owners and individuals interested in installing electric vehicle charging stations to earn tax credits worth up to $30,000 through December 31, 2020. Update: The Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit has been extended through December 31, 2021.
