Drive Electric Minnesota’s Fleet Electrification Toolkit is Live

Drive Electric Minnesota (DEMN) has released the Electrify Your Fleet tab to aid local governments through the decision-making process for electrifying their fleet vehicles and taking steps towards becoming electric vehicle ready. The Electrify your Fleet tab can be found on the DEMN website under Electric Vehicles.

Here is a brief overview of how to navigate the webpage to find the resources you need:

• The “Guide to Purchasing and Leasing an Electric Vehicle for Your Fleet” provides information on vendors, an overview of charging options, funding opportunities, and questions to ask vendors.
• The “Vehicle Selection Guides” provide DEMN key lessons learned for light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as external resources for vehicle selection by category.
• The Best Practices for Use outlines charging station considerations, ongoing maintenance needs, support for staff on EV use, driver responsibilities, and guidance on public education through EV fleet ownership.

Using the Electrify your Fleet tab will help local governments navigate the process of obtaining an electric fleet vehicle.
