SUMMARY:Powering Communities: Building Strong Partnerships for Community-Focused Electric Transportation
DESCRIPTION:  \nThis workshop\, brought to you by Drive Electric Minnesota and Forth\, is made possible in part by generous support from the McKnight Foundation. \nDate: October 5\, 2026\nTime: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.\, followed by a happy hour\nLocation: American Swedish Institute (2600 Park Avenue\, Minneapolis\, MN 55407) \nJoin Forth and Drive Electric Minnesota for an exciting workshop exploring how to advance clean\, affordable\, and equitable electric mobility through community-led projects\, strategic partnerships\, and practical utility and policy insights. The workshop doubles as Drive Electric Minnesota’s second annual event! \nThe event will explore four key focus areas: affordability\, multifamily housing (MFH)\, workforce development\, and sustainable transportation policy. It will highlight how stakeholders across the region are working together to expand equitable access to electric mobility. Participants will hear examples of policies and utility programs designed to reduce cost barriers\, strategies for engaging MFH developers and residents in EV charging deployment\, and lessons from state-level sustainable transportation initiatives. Drawing on real efforts\, such as bringing charging investments to underserved neighborhoods\, promoting multimodal campaigns shaped by local priorities\, and supporting municipalities through advocacy and resource sharing\, the workshop will provide practical insights for designing electric transportation programs that start with community voices and reflect community needs. \nDrive Electric Minnesota members and community-based organizations receive FREE tickets. \nRegister today!
