DESCRIPTION:Are you thinking of buying an electric vehicle (EV)? Do you own an EV and have questions about how to use it? Are you thinking about taking your first EV road trip\, but feeling insecure? Electric vehicles use completely different technologies from gas-fueled vehicles. \nThis class covers what to consider when purchasing an EV\, how to charge for daily use\, how to use DC fast chargers\, and how to plan for road trips. In the first two-hour session\, the class will meet via Zoom. In the second session\, the class will meet at a DC fast charger location to provide hands-on experience in using them. Students will practice charging with the instructor’s two EVs (and any others in the class) before retiring to a coffee shop for Q&A. \nFirst session: May 4\, 6:30-8:30 p.m. via Zoom \nSecond session: May 11\, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in-person \nNote: You must enroll in the full course.
