Edina Electric Vehicle Showcase
October 5 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
FreeJoin the City’s Energy & Environment Commission for the first Edina Electric Vehicle Showcase! Stop by on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Edina City Hall parking lot (4801 W. 50th St) to explore a variety of electric vehicles while enjoying live music and delicious local food.
Curious about electric vehicles? Wonder how fun they are to drive, how long a charge lasts, or what the environmental and financial benefits are? Bring your questions to the local EV experts and neighbors who will be on-site eager to share their knowledge!
The event will feature a range of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) from various automakers, including Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevy, Ford, Kia, Rivian, and Tesla. Local EV owners will also showcase their personal vehicles to help you see different styles, features, and price points.
Representatives from Drive Electric Minnesota and Xcel Energy will also be on hand to discuss rebates, incentives, and charging options. Plus, the University of Minnesota will be there, with the University bringing their solar-powered EV that has been racing for over 25 years!
This event supports Edina’s Climate Action Plan, which aims to have 25% of vehicles in the city fully electric by 2030. For every 1% of vehicles converted to electric, 2,750 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions can be eliminated annually.
Come out to the Edina Electric Vehicle showcase for a fun and educational day!
